Weekly Photo Challenge: Two Subjects

14 04 2012

This week’s challenge is to include a photo that has two subjects.  Not necessarily two people, but two subjects or themes that are essential parts of the picture and contribute something differently to the photo.

On a visit to the park there were squeals of joy – “look!! look!!”  Which do you think she was captivated by?

Hopscotch or Helicopter?

Here I am painting a mural for a friend.  “Dora the Explorer” gradually came to life over the afternoon and proudly holds a branch in one hand which is used for height measurements.  In this shot, I am being closely supervised…by someone armed with a piece of rag (oops, sorry) blankey.

Artist and subject (and owner...)

At first she went racing towards the statues but then the helicopter stopped her in her tracks!! I don’t think she could decide WHAT to like best. It was followed up by a couple of men with bagpipes so it really was quite a morning!!!

Your young supervisor will love having Dora keep her company 🙂

Yes she does! When I started her face dropped and she was quite concerned that mummy was going to tell me off for drawing on the wall !!! LOL

Neat entries!
Breaks my heart, the stress we put our children through! I did it too with the ‘don’t write on the walls’ kind of stuff, but find it sad to see the grandkids stressing over the mess they make! Did she approve of the finished product?

Yes they love it although there has been a murmur or two about doing Diego or Boots now as well. If I do them, I think I’ll do them on card and stick them on the wall instead. 🙂

Actually in the first photo I like the juxtaposition of the child and the statues, without the helicopter …
